    Messed up Biological Clock...

I can't sleep before 3am. Well, I'm writing this entry at 3:30am, so that means I can't sleep before 4am. Last week I didn't sleep until past 6am for two days. This is how my CSE life was suppose to be 4 years ago, but it's now catching up to me. I suppose my grades are a little better because of this...I still can't get any A's though.

I'm proud of myself that I'm so much more studious now...more than ever. These late nights are somewhat proof of that. If I studied enough, or worked on projects enough through the day, then my sleepless night is sort of a playtime. Next day rolls around and the cycle continues.

Wake up, study, eat, study, games, (class if I have class), eat, study, games, study.

Hey, that's how I work. And it works for me.

    Crazy week...with more to come

This was a really tough week for me...and it's only 2nd week into the quarter.  The amount of coursework I have was not expected...every week I have two projects due for two different classes, homework assignments for my third and fourth classes, plus quizzes!  This is ridiculous!! This will be one of my most work intensive quarters, I believe.  And I wanted to take it easy, HA!  Next quarter, I can concentrate 100% on Compilers with nothing else to worry about.

My friends Allen, Richard, and Chris got me into adding a Computer Graphics course this quarter...Originally I would only be taking three classes: Computer Networks, Paradigms in Computer Programming Languages, and a Digital Design Project.  But first day of school rolls around and my friends started saying to me "Dude, why aren't you in Computer Graphics with us?!?"  I had wanted to take Computer Graphics originally, however there were schedule conflicts, but I didn't realize that the scheduling was changed.  It no longer conflicted, and I had wanted to take it, so I thought why not?  So I added the class.  This turn out to be one hell of a class...

We had our first project due yesterday, and it was so stressful.  There was so much work to do and I even started super early.  But as it turned out, I still had to stay up late (seeing the sun come up kind of late) for a couple days to finish things up before the "first due date".  We had an extension but I wanted to finish by the weekend so I could work on other homework assignments.  Overall, though, I must say it was pretty fun.  Main thing from this project: I coded a sphere and drew it onto a rendering window in OpenGL.

Next week, I have two homework assignments, 2 projects/program assignments, and 1 quiz.  This will continue every week +/- 1 assignment.  GG.

One of my favorite quotes from The Emperor's New Groove:
"Don't tell me we're about to go over a huge waterfall?"
    "Yep"
    "Sharp rocks at the bottom?"
    "Most likely"
    "...Bring it on"

    Quick Summer Recap

Summer vacation is officially over tomorrow...and my first class is at 3:30pm. This quarter I only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays with discussions on Wednesdays. This means...4-day weekends! However, I know I need to be productive on my Fridays and Mondays...

    I'll recap summer quickly here:

    -friends' graduations

-hung out in SD until all my friends started to leave for home

    -two weeks in Oxnard

-reading about Hyperspace and Physics of the Impossible and nerding it up

    -basketball

-bought two monitors, beginning of my dual display craziness

-Vegas with family, first time driving to Vegas

-back to San Diego for Summer Session II

-partnered up with really awesome people in CSE135, learned a lot about CS in general and myself

-B+ and P in my classes, feeling good

-completed my resume, now I have something!

-a lot of swimming! SO FUN

I got back into watching TV shows this summer too, and it's really exciting to watch brand new episodes of your favorite shows on TV every week now that the new season is starting.  I missed this!  I'm watching and catching up on Heroes, The Office, The Big Bang Theory, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Avatar, and some others.  Good stuff.

So I finally started working on my resume. I didn't have anything before because I've never had a job, and I never tried to apply for one. Even though I've finished my resume so far, I feel I'm still not ready to apply for anything because I want to finish school first. Now that I'm no longer on MASA Staff, I don't want any other obligations to divert my focus on school again. I will have time for working all my life, right? So let's finally concentrate on school for now.

    Oxnard Usual

B+ and P, just like I predicted. It's good...To be getting good grades.

    Anyway...

I don't know why, but every time I come back to Oxnard I get extremely lazy. I mean, REALLY LAZY. All I've done all day was wake up at noon, eat, watch Heroes, eat more, reviewed some Java, watch Heroes, nap...AND I CAN'T HELP IT! I'm never productive in Oxnard...I just don't want to go anywhere or do anything. And honestly, I just can't help it.

I guess tomorrow should be okay. Mom asked if I could go up to her store and help for the day, and I never ever go so I said sure I'll help. It's the least I could do.

I'll be back in SD either on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, I want to go back already, so hopefully Tuesday night.
